Securing Your Home and Farmhouse

There have been massive changes in the security sector for private and domestic home use. We hear demands to continuously improve cost, schedule, safety, and quality – but what are the results? CCTV systems cameras were serving as deterrents, just as seeing multiple alarm systems, encourages intruders in deciding that it’s easier and safer to move elsewhere. It’s much better to prevent intrusion than dealing with it after it has occurred.

Protecting your home or business isn’t as complicated or expensive as you may think. Modern security systems aren’t just for big businesses. A modest initial outlay will buy a set up tailored to your requirements, help to protect people, and prevent costly theft or damage. The technology is easy to understand, simple to use, and cost-effective to maintain.

Invest in Quality Security Cameras

Invest in products, especially ones that are placed outdoors, and make them less accessible and harder to remove. Maybe the best solution is to ask for professional installation or additional advice, especially if you doubt your own setup skills. Your security and the security of your loved ones is always worth the additional cost, work & time.

When possible, it is better to choose a wired system because a wireless system is more vulnerable to online attacks from a hacker. However, if you are using a wireless system, make sure you activate the WPA2 encryption option that most security cameras come with. It is a higher standard of security protocol and should always be used when installing a wireless security system.

Providing the Right System for You

CTS Systems Wexford is fully capable of providing a system complementary to your needs, whether it’s a simple alarm or the latest CCTV technology. We have an experienced team of installers that will work with you and around your schedule to arrange a convenient time to come out and set up your security system.

The security camera kits include everything you need to install the cameras, including a wireless link back to your house or office. There are no special technical skills required to install the system.  If you opt for our service, our team will install the system professionally and actually show you how to use it on the day of installation. The system is completely flexible and we can add more cameras to extend the wireless to extra buildings at any time in the future.

Calving Cameras

Thought about putting in a calving camera on the out farm in the coming weeks? Sure you will be using it for both viewing the stock daily and viewing calving. It won’t be a substitute for physically going there daily, but it will give us peace of mind and hopefully save you getting up in the night and driving to look at cows that are near calving.

Try buying something that you can view over the phone. Also, think about having broadband at the shed or dwelling close to it. We have numbers of camera systems that are able to work on wireless broadband and to provide a good signal for this at the shed. You might have a complete system including a camera which can rotate 360 degrees and tilt 120 degrees, including a wireless router, and full support for setting it up.

Connectivity

1. A good broadband connection is the only one that will work a PTZ IP camera properly. For PTZ Calving, lambing & Foaling Cameras if the customer is in a remote location where there is no typical home internet connection close, we use mobile 3G / 4G Wi-Fi modems on the various Irish GSM Networks – which ever network is best in the customers location.

2. IP Cameras with WIFI still have to be plugged into an Ethernet cable to set them up. It is advised to leave them plugged in all of the time. The best and cheapest buy is an ordinary tried and tested IP PTZ camera, like this Outdoor PTZ Dome Camera

Running wires is most often not an option. Trends in low-power electronics and high-bandwidth wireless communications will continue to have a huge impact by being able to bring the digital tools directly onto the site. The automated site monitoring system is aimed at reducing costs, improving safety, managing schedules and improving quality. Be ready to hop in and choose a solution that matches your needs!
